#CiaratogaStyle: Super Saturday / Santa Anita

The Autumn meet at Santa Anita began this weekend and it felt good to be back! What a way to kick off the meet then a “Super Saturday” with five Grade 1 stakes (including another win for leading 3 year-old Shared Belief in the Awesome Again Stakes) ….and a new outfit.

Let’s just say that JustFab.com and I are quickly becoming best friends. Known for their affordable shoes, handbags and accessories – this was the first time I shopped for clothing on their website. I found this dress on their site over the summer and fell in love. It’s a “me” dress. I squealed as they had it in both my favorite colors, Navy Blue and Pink – and immediately added this to my shopping cart to find that the dress was sold out. In both colors. in XS and S. Before I could even feel the hurt I noticed that there was a “wait list” option in which JustFab automatically ship me the dress as soon as its back in stock. (#BrowniePoints for JustFab). About a week ago I got an email saying that the dress was in stock and had shipped – perfect timing!

Never having purchased clothing from JustFab, I read the reviews from others who purchased and the sizing chart to determine the right size dress to purchase. I bought the dress in X-Small and it fits perfect. It is lightweight and really creates a great shape. I just love those cut outs.

In terms of accessorizing, I went to my go to necklace from Lola Boutique in Saratoga Springs. It makes a statement but does not overpower the rest of the outfit. The nude “posey” pumps from JustFab are probably the most comfortable heel i’ve ever worn at the racetrack. I have survived walking around Santa Anita for a least 8 hours. Up and Down stairs….in grass… dancing….walking….and no pain. I want 234 pairs of these. In every pattern. In every color.

The look was not complete without a fascinator from Christine A. Moore, official milliner of the Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup, who hosted a trunk show all weekend at Santa Anita. She’s remarkable and her hats will last forever. If you’re on the search for a hat or fascinator for #BC14 – she’s it.
